I know we’re not even to Christmas yet (or Thanksgiving, for that matter), but it’s never too early to get ready for one of my favorite holidays – Valentine’s Day. It will be my 7 year anniversary here at “The Bucket”, but more importantly, my nephew will turn two years old! What a wonderful day! (more…)

What a week! I hope your wallet doesn’t hate you too much for what you spent for Valentine’s Day gifts! I usually mail out tons of cards and bring in sweets to the office, but I skipped all of that this year. I let time get away from me, and it was just too late! My family and I did our cut out cookies, but that was about it!
It’s hard to think about that day being Valentine’s Day when it’s my nephew’s birthday, too! He turned 1 year old on Monday.
Can you even believe it?!

Despite how much marketing and advertising goes into this heart-shaped holiday, it’s also the “forgotten” holiday, as Kelli mentioned earlier this week in her blog. It’s amazing how many people either completely lose track of time or procrastinate terribly, and are then blindsided by the need for a last-minute gift that doesn’t say, “I got this at the last minute!”
Well, another year has come and gone.
