Greetings from Atlanta!

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011

This week has flown by!

It all started as a whirlwind when Atlanta was bombarded with 8 inches of snow and then ½ inch of ice on top of that.  People were stranded trying to get out of and into Atlanta.

Those of us who live here were stranded in our own homes – for days.  Because of all that, the show had a slow beginning…but it didn’t last long. People began to arrive, the streets started to thaw, and Atlanta started to pop!

We have experienced another phenomenal show.

We have talked with and taken orders from many people…

Trade Show Travels!

Thursday, January 13th, 2011

116-85684It is hard to believe that the 2011 winter trade show season has arrived!

This is traditionally the busiest time of year for the sales department as our customers visit our showrooms to check out all of the creative new merchandise from Blossom Bucket.  It is always great to catch up with our customers and work with them as they make their purchasing decisions.

This year, I will be working back-to-back-to-back-to-back shows:  Philadelphia ~ Atlanta ~ Las Vegas~ Market Square.  This is a crazy schedule, and it is hard to be away from my family for so long, but with all of that travel, winter seems to pass by a lot more quickly!

Atlanta - Birthday DisplayFor those of you who are not able to join us in our showroom in Atlanta, here are a few more displays that were created for the January show.

All of this incredible work was accomplished during the trip the Kathy blogged about yesterday, and is the combined effort of several talented people, including Kathy herself, as well as Cindy, Dawn, and Lynette!

They’ve done an amazing job; I only wish that I were one of the lucky ones who would get to see it in person!

Preparing for the Atlanta Show, Jan. 12-19th!

Tuesday, December 28th, 2010

Atlanta Gingerbread CabinetSeveral weeks ago a crew from Ohio journeyed down to Atlanta to make ready the showroom for the Atlanta Gift Show starting in January.

We unpacked new product, set up new displays, and prepared everything for the huge crowd expected for those 8 days.

The showroom has a new look with some added displays and fabulous new product.  The picture you see here is of a gingerbread house, created by Blossom Bucket, Inc. owner Cindy Lowry, which displays all our new gingerbread items.

It looks unbelievable!

For those of you who cannot stop by our showroom, Building 2 701, to see us, we are excited to offer you a peek at one of our displays!  We have worked hard getting everything ready, and we hope everyone will love it!!

Merry Christmas & Happy Show Season!

Thursday, December 23rd, 2010

Believe it or not, Christmas is upon us, and I hope everyone has completed their Christmas shopping.

Winter definitely jumped on us quickly this year, and it doesn’t look like it is going anywhere anytime soon!

We will be leaving for the winter shows right after the first of the year, so I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas, and I hope to see everyone at the upcoming shows.

From Trade Shows to Warehouse Sale!

Thursday, September 16th, 2010

Since the last time I talked to you guys, I managed to go from one side of the country (Philadelphia) to the other side of the country (Las Vegas), and back home in a matter of about 20 days.

I know that isn’t too hard when you are flying, but anyone that travels knows that doing that will knock you on your butt for a few days.

Well, it is good to be home but by coming home it also meant saying goodbye to summer.

Since we have left the summer show season behind us, it is time to start getting prepared for our upcoming Warehouse Sale on November 4th – 6th. So make sure you mark those dates on your calendar.

If you have not been to our Warehouse Sale in the past, this is a great opportunity for you to get some great product at a huge discount. I hope to see you all that first weekend in November!

Heating Things Up at the Summer Shows!

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

The summer show season is slowly coming to an end. I think it is moving so slowly because of how hot it has been just about everywhere.

I am in Philadelphia right now at the Philadelphia Gift Show, and the temperature today is actually nice: it was about 70 this morning, and it is only supposed to get up to about 85 with little humidity. I know during setup it was miserable. Two days in a row it was about 95 degrees out with a heat index of about 108. (more…)

Natalie Finds Inspiration in Atlanta!

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

111-00008Every January and July I head to Atlanta to work our showroom at the AmericasMart.

While it is very difficult to leave my family, it always turns out to be one of the most inspirational things I do for work all year.

It is so great to see everyone, and to hear about how things are going and what plans they have for the upcoming year. I get to talk to customers about what works and does not work. It is a great time, and I love seeing everyone. I learn so much about consumer trends and needs.

I come back to the office with more ideas than my hands can type.
