August Already?

Sunday, July 31st, 2011

I cannot believe this is the last weekend of the month.  I am not ready for August to begin.

It seems like it took so long for summer  to arrive and now it’s time for all the fall practices to start back up.  Not to mention the first day of school is in August.

Annie’s Next Summer Concert!

Friday, July 29th, 2011

M & AHi there, and Happy Friday!

As you’ve read before, I love going to concerts – especially during the summer.

I especially love going to country concerts with my cousin! Back in February, I got us AMAZING seats to the Jake Owen and Keith Urban concert as a graduation gift for her (and me, to be honest…). I ended up with two tickets in the FIRST section in the 14th row, right on the aisle.

HOT Summer Shows!

Thursday, July 28th, 2011

Here we are in the middle of the 2011 summer show season and has it ever been HOT!

When I arrived in Atlanta and was instantly hit with the stifling heat and humidity, I could not help but think of the winter show.  In January, the city was hit with an unbelievable ice storm (right before the show) that pretty much shut down everything.  The weather certainly went from one extreme to the other!

There has been no escaping the heat this summer; after leaving Atlanta I headed to the Philadelphia show.  There were record breaking temperatures during the set up days which always makes unloading the truck a treat !  I am attending one more show this summer – in Las Vegas!  It’s never hot in the desert in August, right???

Speaking of Las Vegas…check out our new collection of gambling bugs (coming in 2012)!

Annie’s Church Picnic!

Friday, July 22nd, 2011

Church picnicHi there, and Happy Friday!

Last Sunday, my church had a picnic. I’m sure that I’ve mentioned my church before, but I’m not sure if I told you that it had actually closed and merged with another church in my diocese.

The church I had belonged to was a Polish Catholic church, and we’ve merged with an Italian Hispanic Catholic church. Talk about a melting pot!

The Polish community decided to have a picnic for us all to spend some time together and go through old photos.

M&M’s, Cookies, Popcorn, and Hot Weather!!!!

Tuesday, July 19th, 2011

Hello there…. Greetings from Atlanta!

Tomorrow will end the July Atlanta Summer show.  We have seen old friends, made new ones, suffered through extreme heat, eaten two 45 oz. bags of M&M’s (Todd’s favorite), served tons of popcorn (per Barb, if you mix the popcorn with the M&M’s it is sheer delight)….discovered a new favorite cookie, Oatmeal Butterscotch (just ask Natalie)…………………………….and the most important part – shared our new 2012 product with scores of customers!!!

If you were not able to attend the Gift Show in Atlanta we still have a few more on the calendar before summer’s end.   You will not want to miss out on our new product and our fabulous show special.  Check out our website at www.BlossomBucket.com to view the dates and locations.  We hope to see you soon!

Tree Down!

Friday, July 15th, 2011

Hi there, and Happy Friday!

On Monday afternoon, we had a big storm roll through. Kristy and I both opened up our blinds and watched the rain and lightning. It was pretty windy, but nothing out of the ordinary. Up towards Detroit, they had winds of over 70 miles per hour! We were both glad it broke up before it hit down here.

I drove home with the windows down, enjoying the break from the 90 degree temps and high humidity. When I got home, I went to let my dog out onto the back deck, and found this giant tree limb in my yard!

Another Race for Annie!

Friday, July 8th, 2011

Annie with her mom & best friendHi everybody, and Happy Friday!

On Monday, I competed in another race! It was my third of the year. I’m proud to say that since Memorial Day, I’ve managed to shave off about 3 minutes per mile off my time.

I’ve been loosely following a running plan, and doing interval training on my own. I started weight lifting, too! I’m definitely nowhere close to being an actual “runner,” but I’ll get there one day!

I belong to a running / racing team, and we had 5 members participate in the race. We all only did the 2 mile instead of the 5 mile, but all had great times!

Gearing Up for the Show!

Tuesday, July 5th, 2011

Set of 8 Playful Pups - 1111-84778Now that July 4th has come and gone it is time to turn to the Atlanta Show.  Starting July 13th you can find me in the Atlanta Showroom from 8:00 in the morning until 6:00 at night.  The show will last until July 20th – until the last customer leaves our showroom.

I always enjoy the shows because I get to revisit with friends I only talk to on the phone throughout the year.  I get to meet new customers and establish new friendships.  I not only get to help the customer buy new product for their store, but I get to learn about their new grandbabies, hear their stories of accomplishment with their businesses, and let them know what Blossom Bucket is up to. It’s like a big reunion in the retail world!

If you are in the Atlanta area from July 13- 20 stop by and see us.  We will be in building 2 on the 7th floor – 701.  We’ll save a bag of popcorn for you!

Annie is Babysitting!

Friday, July 1st, 2011

Annie's favorite babysitting charge!Hi there, and Happy Friday!

Our office is closed today and next Monday in observance of the holiday.

The 4th of July is one of my favorite times of the year! I love fireworks, cookouts and bonfires.

Today, since we are closed, I am babysitting my nephew!

My sister in law has to work, and I offered my day to help her and my brother out. Of course, they practically had to twist my arm and offer me the moon and stars to spend the day chasing my favorite little man around!
