Let the hunt begin!Hi there, and Happy Friday!

I can’t believe it’s the last Friday in April. This month has absolutely flown by!

Did you have a nice Easter weekend? I did!

My nephew is walking and almost running now, so we had a great time.

Unfortunately, it was raining outside so the egg hunt was inside. He’s only 14 months old, so he didn’t really grasp the “hunt” part, but had a good time carrying the basket for his older cousin. She was VERY into it, and my nephew loves to help, so it was a good time!

Have a Happy Earth Day!

Along with today being Good Friday, it is also Earth Day. Going “green” has always been a cause that I hold close to my heart. I’m big into recycling and not wasting, and taking care of what you have and what is around you. I love nature, and I’m hoping my future relatives will be able to enjoy it as much as I do.

Here are some facts on Earth Day!

  • • The first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970 – more than 20 million people took part! Before this, environmental concerns weren’t too high on any priority list.
  • • After the first Earth Day, so many pieces of important legislation were passed: Water Quality Improvement Act, Endangered Species Act, Toxic Substances Control Act, and the Clean Air Act. (more…)

Green Is the New Black

go-paperless_3There are a lot of new buzz words floating around these days, both in industry and the private sector. Moving speedily to the top of the list is “green.”

In business, in particular, green used to mean one thing: the almighty dollar. Today, though, green has become something very different, and yet not. These days, operating in the green is quickly becoming every bit as important as operating in the black. However, many businesses are facing the challenge of accomplishing both of these goals at once when, under certain conditions, these two ends seem mutually exclusive.

So, how does a business succeed economically and environmentally?
