With Christmas Day over, it’s on to the next holiday! I don’t mean New Year’s, but Valentine’s Day! I know we’re not even into January yet, but February 14th will come faster than we know it. I am a die-hard Black Friday shopper. I wait until today to start my Christmas shopping. After Thanksgiving dinner, my sisters, my mom and I all sit around the Thanksgiving table with our newspaper ads. We each buy our own newspaper because there is no sharing! We all have a tablet of paper and a pen, and start mapping our adventure for the day! As of last year, we have had to map quickly because stores open earlier than normal! It’s been a tradition of ours for the past 15 years.

Last night, my mom and I went to a card making class. I consider myself pretty crafty, and I always enjoy a new project, but I’ve never made my own greeting cards!
The gal that hosted the workshop had everything already cut out and set up for us when we got there. We only had to assemble the cards. We made three different kinds. One for Thanksgiving, one for fall, and then another for Halloween. Of course, the Halloween design is my favorite!
I’ve been thinking about making my own cards for Christmas. Do you make your own greeting cards? Do you have any advice for a newbie? I’d love to hear your hints and tips!
