Now that fall items are on the shelves, it is time to turn our attention to Christmas. I know it seems like Christmas Day is a long way away, but for the retail world it is just around the corner. This year we have many new collections and great themes add to your holiday décor.
One of my favorites is a Christmas Farm Friends Collection by Barbara Lloyd. These Candy-Striped Sheep Ornaments will add a whimsical touch to any holiday decoration.

I have blogged about my chickens before and I thought I would show you what one of them did for me.
I FOUND THE PRIZE EGG!!!
I’m not sure why, but I love pigs!
I don’t necessarily enjoy eating pork, nor do I love them enough to want one as a pet, but for some reason I just think they’re cute!
During our last Atlanta Gift Show I noticed that people were drawn to our pig items created by Betty Padden. Many would just point and giggle and then suddenly they would end up on their order. You just can’t help but adore the Set of 3 Pigs Carrying Hearts.
There is a local livestock auction in our area where you can purchase all kinds of animals.
I had in mind purchasing some exotic chickens, peacocks, and possibly a mini donkey to be a companion to Molly.
We arrived at the auction early, so we could take in all of the livestock. It was amazing all of the different animals.
Our family is embarking on an adventure that we have never done before.
We now are the owners of 8 chicken hens and one rooster. My husband decided, a few weeks ago, that having chickens would be a lot of fun.
He built them a chicken pen, thus “Motel 6″, and proudly brought home our new additions and introduced them to their new lodging facilities.
It took about week before they started laying eggs, but now we are getting 3-4 eggs a day! It is so much fun walking down to the pen and hunting the eggs.
Two weeks ago, Cindy blogged about her every growing menagerie on the farm, and Molly the miniature horse, in particular.

Last Sunday night I was completely blown away that is was the last day of October. Growing up I always heard “just wait until you get older, time flies by so quickly.” At this point in my life I have realized they were not just talking, it is the truth.
It is hard to believe that November is upon us…already?
