Christmas Swag DIY

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

atlanta-july-09-002-1The final, for a little while at least, do it yourself project from our Atlanta showroom is our Christmas swag.

This festive piece incorporates a little of everything: from traditional Christmas bulbs to artificial pine and berries, Blossom Bucket mini samplers to artificial snow, and more.

As with all of our projects and suggestions, this swag can be adjusted to fit any décor by simply switching out certain colors, selecting different Blossom Bucket items, and using more or less of each element.

For the ornaments and ribbon in this swag, we primarily used deep reds and burgundy tones to coordinate with the mini samplers, but kept the twinkle lights clear to keep the piece from becoming too dark.  We added red and green hued berries, along with pinecones, and additional cream berries.  We accented the entire swag first with spray-on snow, then a touch of spray-on glitter for extra shimmer.  (more…)
