It’s been such a long week! I had jury duty this week (and even got picked to be a juror for a criminal case), a doctor’s appointment that ran way over yesterday, and I am babysitting my nephew tonight. I love being busy and having plenty to do, but sometimes I just want to kick back and do nothing for once!
I kind of want to get this clock and put it on my desk!

It was a short week for us, which is always nice!
Last weekend was a nice break, and the unofficial end of summer, unfortunately. The weather has even started to change already. It’s been grey and rainy all week, with highs only in the upper 60’s and low 70’s. Thankfully, we got plenty of play time outside last weekend!
My nephew is slowly becoming my brother’s clone. He has the same ornery grin, and the same way of getting into things that he shouldn’t be in and looking so darn cute about it that you just can’t get mad!

I had a wedding this morning, and then it’s pool time again!
August is a busy time at “The Bucket”!
We are steadily shipping orders for everyday product, fall product, and Christmas product all at the same time.
Sometimes we get a little shorthanded.
Annie and I were asked to help out in the warehouse wrapping and packing some items for one of our customers. If you didn’t already know, we are in the Customer Service department. Annie is the Customer Service Supervisor, and I am a Personal Assistant.
We don’t use tape guns, boxes, bubble wrap or anything remotely close on a daily basis. They say if you don’t use it, you lose it.

As summer starts to wind down and Labor Day approaches, I get ready to say farewell to one of my favorite summer activities: Saturday Splatterday.
Some friends of mine put up a big pool and built a beautiful deck this summer, and every Saturday a big group of us just show up for good times and sunshine.

As of last week, I hadn’t done a race since the 2 miler I did on the 4th of July. I finally buckled down and did my 4th race this year on Saturday.

Last Saturday was my brother’s birthday.
He’s the baby in the family, and I still remember when he was born. My parents walked me and my other brother over to our grandparent’s house right next door, and we stayed there until he was born. I was 5 years old at the time, so I actually remember that I was wearing pajamas and that my grandma wouldn’t let me put sugar on my Frosted Flakes. But then my parents brought my baby brother home. Granted, I already had a brother that was a year and a half old. But now I had two brothers! Talk about fun!

Two weeks ago, one of my best friends from college got married. Thanks to modern technology and Facebook, we’ve been able to stay in touch, even though we don’t live close to each other anymore.
I was so excited when she got engaged!
On the 23rd, my friend Ann and I loaded up the car and made the drive down to Wintersville, Ohio. It’s about an hour and a half from where we live, and we’re always ready for a little road trip.

As you’ve read before, I love going to concerts – especially during the summer.
I especially love going to country concerts with my cousin! Back in February, I got us AMAZING seats to the Jake Owen and Keith Urban concert as a graduation gift for her (and me, to be honest…). I ended up with two tickets in the FIRST section in the 14th row, right on the aisle.

Last Sunday, my church had a picnic. I’m sure that I’ve mentioned my church before, but I’m not sure if I told you that it had actually closed and merged with another church in my diocese.
The church I had belonged to was a Polish Catholic church, and we’ve merged with an Italian Hispanic Catholic church. Talk about a melting pot!
The Polish community decided to have a picnic for us all to spend some time together and go through old photos.
