Hi there, and Happy Friday! 
I have been off work and away from the “Bucket” all week!
I went against my better judgment and skipped my annual cruise this year. It hurt to skip it, but I think it’ll make the next one even better!
Over this past week, I’ve babysat my nephew, read several new books, worked on my “tan” (I only burn…), and spent some QT here at the pool at my gym.
Well, the time is almost here.
For almost 7 months I have prayed, planned, dreamed, shopped, and watched both you and your loving parents grow.
Your mommy lets me talk to you and feel you kick back in excitement. I even got a sneak peek and saw you try to open your eyes and stick out your tongue!
It is hard to believe that I can be as excited to meet you, my first grandchild, as I was waiting for your mother to be born. You already have a very special place in my heart, and I just know we are going to be great friends and will make wonderful memories together.
Summer has been brutal here in Georgia with temperatures stalled in the 90’s for weeks. I can’t remember when it has been so hot for so long. I am so looking forward to fall and all that comes with this season.
Once the kids go back to school and the leaves start falling from the trees, the Friday night stadium lights come on. That means only one thing….Football season is upon us!
I am proud to say I am a football mom. My son plays for our local Junior football league. (more…)
Hi there, and Happy Friday!
For those of you with kids, it’s back to school time! For my sister-in-law, it means the end of her summer vacation, and time to go back to work! For the rest of us, it’s just August 27th.
In keeping with the back to school spirit, I wanted to share one of my favorite new items for this fall! These three plaques were designed by Deb Strain, and will make their debut in November. I can’t wait to see them!

My bookshelves downstairs are beginning to look like an overstuffed laundry basket. I just can not bring myself to get rid of any books, especially those that have a memory attached to them. My book collection ranges from THE CAT IN THE HAT, by Dr. Seuss, to HAMLET, by Shakespeare.
I have books that I have read to my children when they were young, books they have read throughout their school years, and books that my rabid reader husband has collected over the years. Books, books everywhere and not a place to sit!

If you’ve been checking out my blogs every Friday, then you have a pretty good idea of what has been taking up the majority of my time lately: getting ready to move.
I have been painting, cleaning, scrubbing carpets, hanging mini blinds and putting up new curtains. I feel like a contractor! I have a separate set of clothes for “working”, and even a separate set of sneakers.
We are a sports family! Ever since my children were five years old, they have participated in some sort of organized sport.
My boys have both played baseball, and my girls have played basketball, tennis, and softball.
Last week was Canton’s biggest event of the year…Hall of Fame week!
From hot air balloons to the Rib Burn off, entertainment was everywhere!
My daughter was lucky enough to participate in the HOF Parade. She is in the Marching Band at Tuslaw Local School.

I will keep my post short and sweet today – literally! Tomorrow, my awesome nephew will be six months old. Can you even believe it?!
Time definitely flies.
He has changed so much! He’s a sturdy little baby, and so strong! Of course, we now call him a “little man” instead of a baby. We wouldn’t want to hurt his feelings…
