Need to Start Christmas Shopping?

Thursday, October 27th, 2011

I love this time of year. Watching the leaves change colors, taking my kids to pick out mums and pumpkins, which of course, they have to try and pick up every single pumpkin in the patch. If they had their way, my whole front yard would be filled with the pumpkins. They would have to carve one every single night. But the one thing I really enjoy is decorating my house for fall and Christmas. If you enjoy doing this, you can’t miss our warehouse sale. You will find great holiday and everyday products that are great for decorating. It’s easy to fill your cart up with the discounts you receive! Treat yourself, or start your Christmas shopping. Don’t miss out! Mark your calendar for November 3rd through the 5th.

Thanks,
Kelli

Only A Little Over 2 Weeks Left!

Tuesday, October 18th, 2011

The warehouse sale is only a little over 2 weeks away. It’s hard to believe that it is upon us again, but it is. Which means before you know it, the sale will be over and it will be the holidays along with the cold weather. I am still not sure where summer went! But we won’t worry about the past. Hope everyone is planning to attend this year’s warehouse sale. If not, clear some time on your calendar because you don’t want to miss it! Hope to see you all there!

Colors, Costumes, and Price Cuts!

Thursday, September 8th, 2011

It’s funny how we all dream of the warm sunshine of summer, as we huddle around a crackling fire in mid-January.  And then, before we know it the warm weather of summer has come and gone.

The late change of season is a time that I love here in Ohio.  The milder temperatures leading toward the beautiful color changes of the trees, as the fall holidays are approaching. (more…)

Summertime: Here and Gone!

Thursday, August 25th, 2011

Layout 1Labor Day is only about a week away, school is back in, and I have no idea where the summer went.  I am not even sure if I remember celebrating the 4th of July.

As we all know, time definitely doesn’t slow down for anyone or anything.

Around here it is time to shift gears from show stuff to warehouse sale because, even though it is 2 months away, we will blink and it will be here.  So let me be one of the first people to invite you to our annual Warehouse Sale the first weekend of November!

Have a good and safe Labor day, and hope to see you at the Warehouse Sale in November.

-Dave

Do You Have Spirit?

Monday, August 15th, 2011

Tuslaw-cThis weekend, August 19-20, is our back to school Spirit Event at The Gateway to Amish Country!

I am a diehard Tuslaw Mustang fan!  My house “bleeds blue” as we say.

I have been watching the pictures post daily on Facebook of the new Tuslaw items that are going to be available this weekend…and I am pretty sure I need one of everything!  From hair flowers to inflatable noise makers we have something for everyone.

Massillon Tiger fans don’t you worry…everything we have in blue we have in orange and black just for you!

Hall of Fame Parade Day!

Saturday, August 13th, 2011

Go MustangsIt’s hard to believe the Hall of Fame festivities have come and gone already.

If you didn’t already know, Blossom Bucket, Inc. is located close to Canton, Ohio.   Home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame!

Last week was our annual Hall of Fame week.   There wasn’t an actual football game this year, but we still had a ton of fun!

The Timken Grand Parade was held on Saturday, August 6th.   My daughter and the Tuslaw Marching Mustangs were one of the 110 entries in the parade.   What a great day it was!

Acacia Creations sample -cIn Cindy’s last blog, she wrote a bit about Destiny Rescue, the mission that we’re supporting with jewelry being purchased for The Gateway to Amish Country.

We now have another company doing good works to add to our list: Acacia Creations.  Acacia Creations offers handmade items by the women of Kenya and Uganda.  Part of what makes their wares so incredibly unique is that many items, including jewelry and coasters, are made from recycled paper!  This photo show just a few of the items you will see at The Gateway!
