Well, the time is almost here.

For almost 7 months I have prayed, planned, dreamed, shopped, and watched both you and your loving parents grow.

Your mommy lets me talk to you and feel you kick back in excitement. I even got a sneak peek and saw you try to open your eyes and stick out your tongue!

It is hard to believe that I can be as excited to meet you, my first grandchild, as I was waiting for your mother to be born. You already have a very special place in my heart, and I just know we are going to be great friends and will make wonderful memories together.

I heard somewhere that, “It’s such a grand thing to be a mother of a mother – that’s why the world calls her grandmother.”

So, my little grandson-to-be, please swim around a few more weeks, and in the meantime, I will continue praying, dreaming, and of course, shopping!
