Hello, and Happy Friday!
Today is my baby brother Jon’s 26th birthday! Can you believe it?
I remember when he was born. My brother Neil and I had to go next door to stay with our grandparents, and I remember being so upset that they wouldn’t give me any sugar to put on my Frosted Flakes. Such drama for a 5 year old!
After he came home, he became my baby doll. Neil was too smart to fall into my traps anymore! I remember dressing Jon up in my doll baby clothes, putting him in my little cradle for my dolls – everything. He made such a beautiful baby doll! To get Neil to play with me, I had to merge my Barbie dolls with his G.I. Joe, but not for Jon! He was always up to do anything with me, and play any game.
I can luckily say that not much has changed!
Jon is one of my best friends, my traveling buddy, my late-night cartoon watcher, and even though he’s a little over 5 years younger than me, my bodyguard and protector… but don’t let him fool you. He’s a big teddy bear (most of the time).
We’ve taken several cruises together, and we spend every Christmas Eve cooking dinner for the family together. In case you can’t tell, I love my baby brother with my whole entire heart!
Join me in wishing him a very Happy 26th Birthday! Time flies way too fast! I guess he should just count his lucky stars that I didn’t bring the baby doll pictures in to work…
