Step One:

Find the center of your candle plate, and make a dot with the marker. You should be able to find both of these items at your local craft shop.

Now, draw one line through the center of the plate, and a second line perpendicular to the first, basically dividing your plate into fourths.

Step Two:

Continue to add lines that cross the plate through the center. The lines do not need to be evenly spaced, but it may be helpful to have a ruler or straight edge when drawing your lines.

You can add as many or as few lines as you prefer. These are the base for your cobweb, so the more lines, the tighter the web!

Step Three:

Let the marker dry for about an hour before placing anything on the candle plate.

Step Four:

We used a deep plum colored candle, but you could easily use black, red, orange or any other color that complements your Halloween décor.

The candle we chose is 5″ tall, 6″ in diameter, which fits nicely into the center of the candle plate while still allowing some of the web to show. The height works well with Blossom Bucket pieces, as many of our figures are 3-5″ tall.
