Hi there, and Happy Friday!
As most of you know, I’m going to be moving soon! My one aunt has moved, and is going to rent me her old house. She’s giving me a fantastic deal, and it will help me continue to save to buy a house of my own! Since I know my landlord, I am able to paint this house any color I want! Here is a picture of the kitchen after my family helped me paint it. It’s such a sunshine color of yellow – I am happy the minute I walk into that room! The floor still needs replaced, but it’s such a bright room! I’m really looking forward to moving in and cooking and baking up a storm here. We didn’t even have to use drop cloths, since the floor is going to be replaced! Bonus!
Here is a picture of my cousin Morgan taking down the border in the bathroom. It was so hard to take down! We used putty knives, we scored the paper and soaked it with vinegar, we even used this crazy spray gel to try and loosen the adhesive. Whew! It was hard work! Thankfully, Morgan doesn’t like to paint but she didn’t mind scraping the walls! I now have the bathroom all painted a silvery grey color with bright white trim. I’ll have to take some pictures and post them! I just finished painting that room this week.
Next up is the bedroom, and then the living room. We saved the two easiest rooms for last. Then I’m having the carpet scrubbed.
After that’s all done, and I hang up new blinds and curtains, I’ll be all set! I’m so excited!
