Here’s a fun and creative way to commemorate your summer vacation to the beach or to add a new decorative touch to a beach themed room! The shell pot is sure to be a conversation piece no matter where it’s displayed!
For this project, you will need the following supplies:
Step One: |
Mix your off-white paint with water: 3 parts paint to 1 part water. Brush this mixture over the pot, and allow to dry completely before moving on. You do not need to cover the entire pot, nor does it have to be covered evenly, you just want to achieve a weathered look.

Step Two: |
Mix your lime powder, which you should be able to find at your local gardening center, with water: 1 part lime to 2 parts water. Brush this mixture over the pot in the same manner as before. Once it’s completely dry, go over your flower pot with a fine grit sandpaper until you are satisfied with the look you have created. |
Step Three: |
| Using your hot glue, being applying the small seashells all along the top of the flower pot.
You can find bags of small shells at your local craft shop, or use colorful shells that you have collected from the beach! Think of the shells as puzzle pieces that you are fitting together so that you cover as much space as possible, and do not have large gaps between shells. |

Step Four: |
