In a very apt reflection of our name, this week’s DIY project is indeed a bucket of blossoms, but with its own unique Blossom Bucket, Inc. twist!
For this project, you will need the following supplies:
Step One: |
Many craft, home décor, and lawn & garden shops will have a wide selection of buckets for you to choose from. We selected this barrel bucket for our arrangement. Once you have your bucket, cut your floral foam to fit into the bucket.
Tip: If you bucket is very deep, you may want to use a taller piece of foam so that your flowers and berries do not get lost in the container. |
Step Two: |
Select several silk flowers, berries, and leaves to fill your arrangement being sure to choose a variety of colors and styles! Once you’ve got the sprigs that you want to use, trim them to various lengths. Tip: It may be useful to pick out your Blossom Bucket item first so that you can use complementary colors. |
Step Three: |
| Begin adding your greenery to you arrangement. Start with your shortest pieces and thicker “foliage” around the base.
Use a drop of hot glue on the end of each sprig to attach it to the floral foam in your bucket. |
Step Four: |

Continue filling in your bucket until you can no longer see any of the floral foam.
Remember that there’s no right or wrong way to add in your sprigs. Use as much or as little as you like, giving it as much height and color as you choose. Don’t forget to have fun creating your arrangement! |
Step Five: |
| Finally, it is time to add your chosen Blossom Bucket item.
For our floral bucket, we used one piece from our Set of 3 Verses & Vines Plaques. Use a generous amount of hot glue to adhere the plaque to the front of the bucket. The plaque we selected reads, “Give us this day our daily bread. -Matthew 6:11″ which would make this arrangement a perfect centerpiece for the dining table! Browse our Plaques & Prints category at BlossomBucket.com for more items that you could use for this project! |
