Earlier this week, we celebrated the official start of summer with a cookout at the ‘Bucket!
It was also a sort of “sneak peek” of our annual company picnic that is held in August.
The spread of food was incredible! We had grilled hamburgers and hot dogs (above is Donald, our grillmaster!) with all the trimmings, baked beans, corn on the cob, pasta salad, watermelon, and more! Dessert included rich chocolate brownies (homemade, of course!) and fresh picked strawberries for strawberry shortcake!
Of course, no Blossom Bucket event is complete without prizes, and this luncheon was no exception. Everyone who attended had an opportunity to win their own picnic supplies: a folding camp chair and cooler stocked with candy, bug spray, and a few other outdoor summer essentials! Sharon C., who works hard in our shipping department, was the lucky winner!
To top it all off, we had a few special guests with us for our celebration, and what a distance they traveled for it… Our cookout just happened to fall on the same day that the buyer for one of our Australian clients was visiting our corporate showroom! She and her traveling companions and business associates were able to join us for this wonderful meal, and it was our pleasure to host them!
The picnic was a great pick-me-up, and offered a much needed burst of energy to help us through this hectic season of shipping and receiving Fall, Halloween, and Christmas merchandise, summer trade shows, and so much more!
