Hi, and Happy Friday!
As you know from my previous posts, our Bucket Birds had filled their nests with several little white eggs! At our last count, we had 15 eggs.
When we came in on Monday, we discovered that some had hatched over the weekend! We now have close to 9 baby Zebra finches, but we can’t tell for sure if there are any more – they are so tiny!
In this picture that I took on my cell phone, you can make out one mouth, for sure. The rest is just a big pile of feathers!
According to the research I have done online, they will stay in the nest for the next couple of weeks, and then come out to explore. We are all so anxious to see them hopping around! As always, I will keep you posted!
