This week’s DIY project celebrates Blossom Bucket’s new line of officially licensed Ohio State University merchandise! Not your cup of tea? No worries! This project (like most of our DIYs) can easily be adapted to fit other occasions! For this project, you will need the following supplies:
Step One: |
Unfinished boxes in many shapes, sizes, and styles are available at most local craft stores. We have selected a 5″x5″x2.5″ box with a latch on the front for secure closure. You can choose your box based on how much you want it to hold, etc., though we do recommend a box with a flat top for this project.
Step Two: |
Paint the bottom of your box first. We used our scarlet paint for the bottom of the box. Let this dry completely before then painting the lid/top of the box grey. You will want all of the paint to be dried completely before moving on to the next steps. |
Step Three: |
| Now it’s time to decorate your Ohio State box!
We have selected the “I Love OSU” Block with Girl designed by Suzi Skoglund. This piece is from our new collegiate collection, currently featuring officially licensed Ohio State University product! There are number of items in this line that will work for this project, so be sure to check out the entire collection at our website! This merchandise will begin arriving in stores this summer. |

Step Four: |

All that’s left now is to add your additional Ohio State jewelry or accessories, such as decals, stickers, key chains, and more!
Have fun dressing up your new keepsake box! |
| Don’t forget that larger photos of our completed projects can be viewed in the DIY album on our Facebook fan page!
We’d love to know how this project worked for you! Leave us a comment or send photos of your finished product! |
