Hi, and Happy Friday!
To go along with our Christmas in March theme, I wanted to get you to brainstorm, and share your ideas!
A spa that I visit frequently (especially after show season!) always has such fun open houses. I’ll get an email about a month ahead of time, outlining the “schedule” for the evening and giving me a preview of any specials that will be running while I’m there enjoying myself.
Refreshments are usually served, along with short “previews” of many of the services offered there. Nothing puts me in the mood to book an hour long massage more than a 5 minute “teaser”!! Discounts are given on services booked that evening, and new services are outlined and demonstrated for anyone interested. There is usually a full house for each open house, and I always see new faces when I attend!
This all gets me thinking: How do you prefer to be contacted about special events in your area?
Do you like email, radio ads, billboards, paper mailings, fliers, newspaper ads? Are there methods of contact that you particularly dislike?
Do you enjoy open houses with special themes? What have been some of your favorites?
What kinds of “deals” help you decide to attend? Is there one in particular that more appealing than others?
What sets your favorite local shop apart from the competition? If there isn’t a shop in your area that fits the bill, what could they do differently to grab your attention and make them stand out from the crowd?
I would love to hear all of your suggestions and ideas!
Have a great weekend!
~Anne
