Merry Christmas in March!
Here’s a festive cup & saucer DIY that will look great on your holiday table or just about anywhere! The festive colors and sparkle are sure to stand out in any setting!
For this project, you will need the following supplies:
Step One: |
Affix the saucer to the cup using your hot glue. This will give your finished piece a much sturdier and balanced base.
Step Two: |
Cut a piece of floral foam to fit snugly inside your cup. The foam should be tall enough to stick out of the top approximately half an inch. |
Step Three: |
| Now it’s time to get to the fun part: adding your silk flowers!
We chose a variety of colors and styles to give the finished product a fuller and less uniform look. We selected green leaves with gold glitter, white & silver eucalyptus, and red fern. Then, we added in a few berries, just for some additional texture. Tip: We added our flowers before our Blossom Bucket piece to ensure that it would not get lost among the greenery! |

Step Four: |

Finally, add in your selected Blossom Bucket item!
For this project, we used our “Open Arms Santa” designed by Dan DiPaolo. This piece was first released in 2009, but will also be available during the 2010 holiday season! Depending on how tall you’re flowers and your item are, you may be able to attach the piece with a bit of hot glue. If that does not work, a drill press can be used to create a hole in the bottom of the item into which a dowel could be inserted. Tip: Check out the “Santas” category at our website for other items that you may like for this project! |
