Hello, and Happy Friday!

What an amazing week!

Last Friday, I left for Columbus for the weekend with my Mom, her husband, and my cousin. Saturday afternoon, my cousin and I left to come home to make sure we could dance at the Paczki Ball! About halfway home, my brother called me and told me that he was at the hospital with his wife, and that she was in labor!!Of course, we had to turn around to go pick up my mom.

Over four hours and a gas station meal later, we made it home safely! If she could have, I’m sure my mom would have driven about 200 miles an hour the whole way home. Thank goodness for cruise control!

On Sunday,  Valentine’s Day, at 4:10 A.M., my nephew Nolan entered this world. What an awesome blessing for my family! I cry every time I think about it! But, if you know me at all, you know that I pretty much cry over anything. My brother and his wife are so blessed to have such a miracle – I know I’m a bit partial, but this baby is the most adorable baby I’ve ever seen! I’m so thankful that I am so close with my brother and his wife, and that they only live about 5 minutes away. I’m very much looking forward to spoiling Nolan for the rest of his life!

Tomorrow is my mom’s birthday. She really wanted my sister-in-law to have Nolan on her birthday, but hey – less than a week apart is good enough, right? She’s still floating on being a new grandma! I made her a little “brag book” to take to work and show him off – it’s awesome!

Anyway, I’d like to say Happy Birth Day to my beautiful nephew (almost a whole week old!!!), and Happy Birthday to my amazing mother (she’d kill me if I posted her age… we’ll just say 29!!). What a great week!
