Garden Chair DIY!

garden chair 3
Looking outside it may be difficult to believe, but spring will be here before we know. Time to plant new seeds or watch the perennials begin to peek up from the soil!
If gardening is a hobby, a passion, or even an enviable talent, then this DIY project is for you!

For this project, you will need the following supplies:

  • chair
  • paint, if chair is unfinished
  • Spanish moss
  • silk flowers & leaves of your choice
  • wire cutters
  • hot glue & gun
  • Your favorite Blossom Bucket items

Step One:

We selected a small decorative Adirondack style chair in white with a slightly distressed finish.

If you cannot find a chair in a color that you like, you can always purchase one that is unfinished, and paint it the color of your choice. You should be able to find one at your local craft supply store.

Glue a small amount of Spanish moss to the seat of the chair.

Step Two:

Add greens and flowers of your choice to the chair. Concentrate on the seat, but also allow some of the color to go up the back and over the arms of the chair.

Step Three:

Now it’s time to add your selected Blossom Bucket items!

We used one of our mini samplers on the back of the chair, from the Set of 2 Dirt/Famous Flower Mini Samplers.

On the seat we added one of the Set of 5 Flowers on Base and one of the Set of 2 “Flower” Signs.

Tip: Check out the “Flowers & Garden” category at our website for other items that will be perfect for this project!

  1. Thank you! We’re happy to be able spread a little sunshine on a wintry day!

  2. Kaye says:

This DIY decorated chair is really adorable. There is a lot of snow where I am, but I closed my eyes and saw this chair sitting on a wrap-around porch of a farm house. How relaxed it made me feel. Great job!
