Christmas Memories: Shelly Comiskey

Shelly Comiskey, another member of the Blossom Bucket family of designers, shares her incredible stories!

What are your earliest Christmas memories?
My earliest memories are of being quite young and the Christmas parties at my aunt and uncles house on Christmas Eve.  My whole family being together with “Santa” making a special appearance to our little party.  My sisters, cousins, and I were so excited – especially when we heard the jingle of his bells and the Ho Ho Ho coming down the stairs.   I remember so vividly the excitement for Christmas morning and the car rides home - searching the sky all the way home in hopes to get a glimpse of Santa and his reindeer.

How have they affected your designs?
I believe my memories truly bring out a feeling of warmth in my designs.  Being with my whole family at Christmas has always been a wonderful memory with the comfort of being surrounded by everyone I love.

What is your Christmas design inspiration?
Again I think the inspiration does come from my childhood memories as well as memories with my own children.  Bringing out ornaments and decorations - remembering when you bought them, where you were, how old, etc..  I still have decorations that I put out from when I was a child.  I love those!

What is your favorite Christmas piece with Blossom Bucket? Why?
This will be my very first Christmas with Blossom Bucket!
