Mini Christmas Tree DIY

dsc_0653
Whether you’re looking for a holiday centerpiece, a creative way to display your favorite Blossom Bucket clip ornaments, a way to spruce up your office or workspace, or you just don’t have room for a full size tree, this Mini Christmas Tree will add plenty of holiday cheer to your business or home!  You could even make one as a gift for friends and family!

For this project, you will need the following supplies:

  • crock of your choice – ours is 5″Hx4.5″Wx4.5″D
  • 18″ Christmas tree
  • gold silk leaves
  • artificial holly berries or other red berries
  • 8′ strand of beads or beaded garland
  • hot glue & gun
  • Your favorite Blossom Bucket clip ornaments

Step One:

Select the crock that you would like to use for the base.  We found a beautiful square holiday crock at a local craft store, but you could easily use other colors and shapes.

These 18″ trees are available all over this time of year.  You should have no trouble finding one at your local craft shop or discount store.  The tree we started with is pictured below for reference.

Tip: It may be helpful to pick up your tree first, and have it with you as you look at crocks so that you will be able to see how it fits.

Step Two:

Hot glue the base of your tree into the crock.

Then, begin to glue your gold leaves and red berries throughout the tree.  The leaves that we selected have a little glitter on them to give the tree some extra sparkle!

Step Three:

Next, add your Blossom Bucket clip ornaments.  We used three different styles:
Set of 3 Penguin with Scarf Clips
Set of Candles with Holly Clips
Set of 3 Santas Carrying Gifts Clips

You can add as many or as few clips as you like, depending upon how full you want your tree to be.

Really like the project today. The tree and crock are simply beautiful and the size would make it easy to use in a lot of different places.
