Fall & Harvest Wreath DIY

atlanta-july-09-011Despite the nip we’re beginning to feel in the air and mentions of that four-letter word (s-n-o-w) creeping into the weather reports, winter doesn’t officially begin for six more weeks.

And, while many people launch straight into Christmas decorating as soon as Halloween passes, there’s still time for fall, harvest, and Thanksgiving pieces to be displayed. We can continue to showcase autumn colors for a few more weeks before everything is draped in sparkling reds and greens.

With that in mind, we have another wreath project from our Atlanta showroom!

This wreath incorporates a number of different elements from raffia to leaves, berries to Blossom Bucket product!

At the top of the wreath, we used a small wood sign designed by Barbara Lloyd set slightly askew, emphasizing the hand-made feel of the item. Handcrafted items always have those little idiosyncrasies that just add to their personality!

Directly below the sign is a harvest scarecrow with pumpkins from designer Bernadette Deming. Other assorted Blossom Bucket pumpkins are placed at random intervals throughout the wreath.

Like the Halloween wreath that we spotlighted last week, this is another incredibly versatile project. It can be adjusted to fit any color scheme, season, or theme. You can also personalize it in any way you choose, using less or more of certain elements, or even adding your name to the sign at the top!

And just think of all the new 2010 product that you can use to spruce it up again next year!

What a beautiful wreath. The scarecrow is adorable. And the colors are my reminder of why fall is my favorite time of the year!
