Black Friday Specials

Black Friday is gaining press as it nears. It’s been mentioned here on the blog in the past few days, we’ve heard about major retailer ads being leaked, and we’re probably all beginning to receive teasers from our favorite local and national stores.

So, what are your plans for Black Friday?

As a consumer, what most appeals to you when retailers begin advertising?  What makes a certain store your first destination: open houses, special hours, discounts, free gifts, etc.?  Do you find yourself drawn more to specialty shop or larger chains? Perhaps there’s a particular store that you return to year after year?

Maybe you’d prefer to buy online and avoid the crowds, or do you enjoy being part of the first ecstatic rush of holiday shopping?

Or, like others, do you find the madness of Black Friday simply too overwhelming, and make that a day for decorating or some other, more relaxing activity?

We’d love to know what you look for in a retailer, and what kinds of specials you prefer!  Your feedback is valuable to us and our customers!  Working together, we can all enjoy a profitable and prosperous holiday season, and we can help bring you the types of sales and promotions that you want to see!

We’re looking forward to reading your comments!

Have a great weekend!

As a consumer who doesn’t like crowds or driving in huge amounts of traffic, I usually stay home. Also I start my shopping in October and don’t have many people to buy for. When the kids were younger we decorated the house on Black Friday. Since they’ve grown and I could possibly be alone that day, I put on Christmas music and start addressing my Christmas cards. That’s a relaxiing day!
