When we were preparing on our What Lengths Campaign, I was convinced that I did not have a story to share. Then I remembered the ugly blue hammer in the junk drawer, and realized it is exactly the type of lengths we are asking about. Here is the ugly little tool’s story:
Tools are not something we are short on at our house. I live on a small farm and my husband is a very handy guy. You throw in the fact that my firstborn is a son, and as you can imagine, we have many tools of all types, sizes, shapes and uses. However, when I need a tool, I cannot find one to save my life.
Not long after my son was born, my sister and brother came to visit. I needed a screwdriver, and as usual, could not find one. I was very frustrated, and the last thing I wanted to do was to go out into the cold and head up to the shop to get one. While visiting, they ran to the store for me and found this little gem at the grocery store.
Thank goodness they did! My husband does not consider it as a tool at all. I actually do not think he even notices that it is there when he is looking for a screwdriver. I would go so far as to say I think he would choose a plastic knife over this tool. But, don’t be fooled by its less than stout appearance: it does a fantastic job, takes up very little space, and repels those in my house that would hide it from me. I am grateful for this little tool! Thanks, ugly blue hammer!

Natalie; this tool is perfect! Loved your story! Robin
What a neat tool! I would love to have one and will keep my eye out for one as I shop. I like unusual but handy things, and this certainly fits the bill.
