Fall is a gorgeous time to visit the coast! It may be too cool to get your feet wet, but the sun on the water or the clouds on the horizon still make a lovely view! Even if you’re getting ready to cover your craft for the season, here’s a DIY project for boat, shore, or lighthouse lovers!
For this project, you will need the following supplies:
Step One: |
Select the colors that you would like to use for your boat. We used blue for the body, white for the trip, and tan for the oars.
Tip: It may be helpful to choose your Blossom Bucket items first, so that you can pick out coordinating colors. |
Step Two: |
Paint your boat using the lightest color first and the darkest color you selected last, leaving the inside unfinished. |
Step Three: |
| Trim your fishing net to the desired size, and attach it using a few drops of hot glue. Tuck the net into the top section a bit so that you will be able to sit items on it. |
Step Four: |

Add in your Blossom Bucket items, fixing them in place with hot glue. We used one of our “Shore Birds” (085-80718) and the “‘Carefree’ Lighthouse” (103-82258).
Tip: Check out the “By the Sea” category at our website for other items that will work great for this project! |
Step Five: |

| Again using the hot glue, add a few seashells to embellish your boat. You can add smaller shells on the shelves and larger sand dollars or starfish to the outside! | ![]() |

Whoever constructed this masterpiece is a decorating genius!! I am overwhelmed with it’s remarkable coloriing and construction…. i am planning to place one in every bathroom of my beach house. thank you for this inspirational piece of art.
How pretty! And easier to dust, as it has a “roof.”
