All work and no play…
Well, you know how it goes!
To make sure we don’t get too dull here at the Bucket, we have regular luncheons and other fun events that give everyone an opportunity to relax and have a good time!
Last Saturday was our annual company picnic, and we could not have asked for a better day! The weather was absolutely gorgeous, with the perfect balance of sun and clouds, a mild breeze, and just a hint of fall chilling the air after sunset.
We all gathered at Cindy’s cottage on a small, nearby lake for an evening of food, fun, and fire. The fabulous dinner was part clambake, part standard barbeque fare: ribs, chicken, coleslaw, corn on the cob, and more.
For dessert, Dawn (one of the creative forces behind all those amazing DIY projects!) baked a delicious lemon and yellow layer cake with strawberry in the center, and decorated it with our company logo! The Bucket has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to talented people!
After everyone had eaten their fill and the sun dipped below the horizon, everyone gathered around the glowing bonfire for warmth, relaxation, and good conversation.
All in all, it was a wonderful evening that left use refreshed and ready to make our final push toward the end of 2009. We have our huge Warehouse Sale, brand new in-coming product for November and January, and winter shows to prepare for, but we’re looking forward to meeting these challenges and paving the way for 2010! We hope you’ll be there with us!
